Been slacking…

Its been a few days since I posted to this blog. I’ve been trying to slowly move into my new apartment/condo this week, and have been actually pretty good about my diet. I’ve been eating decent lunches and have not had much soda. Dinners have been very small, usually a couple of peanut butter sandwiches or chicken breast.

I’m down about 4 lbs. So hopefully I’ll be able to lose a couple more before our Friday weigh-in.

Splurging Weekend…

My parents came in to town on Friday, so I took this opportunity to take them to Bahama Breeze here in Fort Lauderdale. We ordered paella, kabobs, and lobster/shrimp pasta. All were great, and probably pretty fattening… but I don’t get a chance to take my folks to dinner very often, so who cares!

Saturday, I took them to Lesters (a local all-night diner) for breakfast. We all had 2-eggs over-easy and home-fries. We skipped lunch, and had spagetti for dinner. I made my special Reeses peanut butter bars… I tried to limit my portions, but considering the family atmosphere, I probably ate a bit more than I should have. 

Sunday, was my neice’s birthday party. My brother had stayed up all night smoking a Boston Butt, of which, we gorged ourselves on. I also had a piece of birthday cake with some Coke Zero. I then attended a Super Bowl party, where I ate chicken wings and some tortilla chips.

This morning, I weighed myself, and it seems that, even though I ate like a crazy person this weekend, I lost some weight. Go Me!

The Friday weigh-in…

Last night, I walked about 5 miles as I tried to prepare for today’s weigh-in. I had 2 chicken breasts and a bit of corn for dinner (120 calories x 2 for the chicken, and 60 cal for the corn)… My official weight this morning? 245. Down 3 lbs this week.

Big winner was my friend Dave, who lost 4 lbs. this week. He’s down a total of 9 lbs. since we started this thing three weeks ago. I’m currently tied for 3rd in the weight loss game.
